My apologies!  I failed to remember that included in our latest humanitarian aid shipment to our partner in Kyrgyzstan, the Children of Tien Shan, were education supplies provided by Janine Bryant and her Montessori class.  It is our hope that the Kyrgyz children we are helping attend school will open a dialogue with Janine’s students.  Thank you, Janine, for your greatly-needed assistance!

For the past two weeks Richard Wilson has been spearheading an initiative to collect hygiene supplies for the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota.  With the support of Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church (http://www.stbarnabas.net/History.html) in Leeland, MD, Richard has already filled 3 large boxes of aid material destined for the Lakota/Dakota tribe.  It is our hope that we will hand-deliver these supplies before winter.  Great job and thank you, Richard!

We are happy to announce that our humanitarian aid shipment of July 30 has successfully arrived in Bishkek and will be distributed to the people of the Kyrgyz Republic by our in-country partner, the Children of Tien Shan.  We  have been working with CTS since before the inception of The Fishermen, dating back to my visit in 2005.  It was on this trip to Kyrgyzstan that I fell in love with their orphaned children and from that point on I was fully dedicated to making the world a better place for them.  Now, The Fishermen has missions in over 15 countries and a staff of 19.  Everything has its beginnings, and ours was in KG.  I wish to thank Abby Kalainikas, director of our SMT program, Irina Trofimova, director of the Children of Tien Shan, Steve Smith of Airlink, and UPS for their support in making this major shipment of humanitarian aid supplies possible.
